This 2 day program from the Association of Professional Patrollers prepares the patroller for response to cliff and rope rescue emergencies.
In this two day hands-on clinic we'll cover all sorts of belay and anchor issues, tower climbing, fallen tower worker scenarios, hardware and software options and considerations, what to carry in your pack/vest, with plenty of time for hands-on practice and training. Rope Rescue professionals from Cascade Rescue and other agencies will be on hand to augment our APP qualified Ski Patrol Instructors and judges in the training, discussions and hands-on scenarios. There will be a social event in Incline Village on Saturday night as well. Be prepared and come with your own helmet, harness, webbing, and resort specific rescue gear you are interested in discussing. Get prepped for your own resort's refresher and learn about some historically proven and new procedures and protocols.
